Best way to get 1200RMS @ 3 ohms?

JBL uses D6 coils on their subs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Quite a few people use 6 ohm coils, in fact, I have about 5 or 6 woofers sitting in my room with 6" coils. Thread starter came off as someone with a lot of money, thus, first guess is JL //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

You, if you want to try and get away for not much more but get that good, solid performance, might want to look into a kicker 1500.1 or a lower level JBL, possibly.

If you want dirt cheap, look into MA Audio or something, but remember in all honesty, you do get what you pay for.

And here I am talking all this crap.

You could also find you an old MTX 1501D or even some of the newer MTX stuff. Their amps arent half bad, I just personally have no loe for their subs

Kicker/MTX = go for it new stuff that's 2ohm stable recommended monoblocks...just my idea

yeah the JBL W12GTis or JBL W15Gtis are 6 ohm, just got my W10GTis, but I dont think JBL is continuing them for 2008. I also have a BPX1100.1, but if you get the 15s, I would say go with the BPX2200.1. You should definately give these subs more power than RMS... 15 about 1500W (1 was run on a single A6000GTi that puts out 6000+ watts) 12 about 1300, and the 10s 1100-1200 will be good.

THanks for the input again. Yes i realize you get what you pay for, I learned that when i was 15. but i usually buy decent used stuff and I know you can get a clean 1200 w for 250 at 1 ohm (nine.1, orion 1200D) thats why i didnt want to spend over 300 for 1200 at 3 ohm. I was hoping someone would let me know how much the 15 can really take, and I know it will be better to have more power on tap than is needed. So i guess Ill spend a little more shoot for 1500rms, almost double rated.

See if you can find one of the Cadence Z..10's that Jason Paul was selling for cadence a while back, there must be someone that bought one for the heck of it that would be willing to let it go for the betterment of society.
