best way to clean a motor?

I just got my RE mt motor in the mail today, **** thang is a monster. But when I look at it theres dirt in the coil gap. Whats the best way to clean this out?

A piece of cardboard and some scotch tape. Make a loop out of the tape with the sticky side out and go to work.
