Best Used Car Under ~$14,000

I have a scion tC and I totally recommend it. dunno where you're getting the gay vibe from though haha
only gripe about it is i only get like 23ish mpg. not exactly great. but everything else is perfect for me.
I love the tC's interior, ride quality is great, road noise is practically nonexistent. I love these cars as far as performance, but I'm just not digging the exterior. I guess it is a personal preference. I need something sexy.

what happened with that one that u recently bought?
got a quote from mechanics? Prolly not worth fixing it huh?
She still runs, I just have to reset the CPU every single day. I predict that the 626 will not run longer than a month at the most.

E46 BMW 3 Series
Honestly thought about it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Anyone have experience with Toyota mr2's, the 92-96 years?
I mean... you CAN.

A buddy of mine rode his HARD. Stock, too. It just recently died. He had something wrong with his piston-- I'm not sure what. I think it was like chipped or something. I'm not sure. Point is... Don't get one. Not for 14K

I'd say get an IS300. Black leather = Sexy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

It's my dream car... I want one so badly.

Also an E46 3 Series is nice. You can get a 328 for about 13K. But if you're a nice talker, you can get a 330 for around that price, too. My friend got his '01 530i with like 50k miles & the sports package for 17K.

The only problem with BMW is maitainence... $200 dollars for an oil change //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

saturn ion, chevy cobalt, focus, malibu, grand prix, grand am, g6, theres alot
p.s. twisted i love ur advatar
If you suggest a grand am, your advising privelages should be revoked. The Grand Am is one of the shittiest mass produced fleet vehicles ever.

Oh, and the OP should look at the Mazda3 5-door. I'll hopefully be picking one up tomorrow

why, my mom had one and it was perfectly fine

really **** i was about to buy one too
I know specifically that one of my friends had one that blew an engine before 100k and he didn't beat on it. Another friend had one that blew the front bearings by 40k. Another friend had an Alero (oldsmobile grand am) and she had problems as well, but I don't remember the specifics.

And this was all within my auto class of about 20 people. If your mom's hasn't had problems, she either takes amazing care of it or she has just been really lucky. If you're looking at pontiacs, go with a grand prix or a g6. I've been looking at the G6 lately, and they get really good reviews on Edmunds.com. You can find them for around $10k with fairly low mileage
