best tweets/x-over for id oem mids?

I think so, just because the IDs can handle alot of power, doesnt mean they need it to play well.

I had a set of Blaupunkt VC100 tweeters, that came with a passive crossover with outputs for the mids and ran them off 100w each in my car for a little while and sounded great.

However, running them active really allows them to shine. You could go with a sax 100.4 and a good tweeter and have a really nice sound.

I dont think those lower line cdt are that great.

from what i've read most of the guys that are mating those ID oem mids with seas tweeters, which they seem to like.

try searching a little.

you never know what you might find!

Im running the seas tweeter with the oem mid. i only have 75 watts on my mids and its more than enough. i would go active though so you will have more flexability with your setup. the tweeters are great sounding but get very loud quick. Im thinking about running mine off my head units power and bridging my mids for some more head room.

btw i didnt care for the tweeters crossed over below 2500 hz but that may havejust been my truck.

alot of people are running the seas neo tweeter and have great things to say, I ran the blaupunkt vc100 tweeter and it is excellent for the money. I would use the sundown for the mids and maybe run the tweets of HU power if it has an HPF

Run them active with a budget tweeter like the Seas Neo or Dayton RS etc. You will have paid very little for a setup that will top high dollar passives.

The OEMs are very efficient, and even though many rave about their midbass output, these puppies can sing too.
