Hello guys, well this is my first post, as a friend of mine recommended this website so i decided to check it out. Well i have a 200 dollar budget via paypal only, and i was wondering if there was a decent system out there in that price range (by system i mean amp, subs and box). I already have a sony in dash player and 2 rockford fosgate 6x9s that pound pretty good, but they also have great sound quality. what im looking for is basically a thump, not too worried about sound quality heh. for car specs i have a 1998 pontiac bonneville, lots of trunk room, also has a pretty big battery. i would be really happy if some of you experts could recommend some stuff, since i am not an expert myself. thanks for your time and interest.

Hate to say it, bro, but $200 ain't gonna get you anything that'll be worth your time. Your best bet would be to save up a while and get a setup that'll satisfy your craving for bass. I did the bass-on-a-budget thing for a while, and I just kept wanting more and more... I went from an 8" to 2 8"ers, to a pair od 12's, to 4 10's, to 3 beefier 10's to a 15.... so just save up and do it right the first time. You'll save money in the long run.Oh, and welcome to the forums
I did that about 12 years ago when I got into the scene, and it is very true..

with only 200 your going to have to be pretty creative and do a lot of searching to find anything that will fit in your budget. look for close out stuff that is cheap. it definetly won't be a top of the line sub by any means, but i guess it will sound better than 6x9s. I can't remember which thread but there was a thread that had a close out 10 for like $25 it only takes like 100 watts but with your budjet you won't be able to get a very big amp so it might work for you. well good look with your system

alright well thanks for the support guys. is that parts express site junkie stuff?

Btw, my 6x9s have 75 rms a piece, my friend said they would pound a little harder if i got a 2 channel amp 75 x 2. would there be a difference between this bass package and putting an amp on my 6x9s? thanks again for the quick replies guys.

I dont think you will be able to get a sub amp and box for 200. I recomend you save your money and buy something youll like. I have also done the bass on a budget deal. Its just never enough
