Best sub setup for BMW E46 - 3 series UNDER $250

I am debating on weather I want to go with 2 subs or 1 larger single sub.

I have an '02 BMW 330xi that this is going into.

The goal is to have great sub output below 50hz. Right now, my stock system can keep up but lacks low end punch below that point. I listen to metal and rap.

I have always gone with 2 lower powered 12's, but am looking to do something different.

Budget is up to $250 for Sub Only, but if I can get a decent amp and sub for that range, I would be happy. I will build my own box.

I want to keep as much trunk space as possible, I haul a lot of stuff. I know it is hard to make a BMW loud, so keep that in mind.

Thank You! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Great car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif The main problem is the amount of sound deadening/insulation. Its not the type of sound deadening that is great for sound output. The trunk is pretty well isolated from the cabin so you either have to fold your seats down all the time, or over compensate with power to make the cabin loud. Otherwise you need to port the rear deck to get your sound into the cabin without going nuts.
