best sub/port configuration foran 18 on 1700 watts in 01 grand cherokee

Title pretty much says it all. my buddies 2 12" Rs got jacked and now were lookin to do an 18 on the same power and trying to get a little louder. the Rs were sub back/port back and didnt seem to hurt much on 1700 so were lookin for an 18 with around a 1500wrms and trying to figure out what box to build for maximum SPL output.

box will be tuned to 30hz in the back of the jeep. we were thinkin about doin sub up/port up but ive seen some sub up/port back as well. what do you guys have the most success with? i know there are a ton of jeep owners in this bish so help us out. appreciate it! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

i dont know yet. i was thinkin a lvl4 18 or this "Ssackett made" 18 in the classifieds but it has a 2kW Rms so i dont know that our amp would suffice. any opinions on what sub to pick up?

The 4xl should do nice on 1,700 watts. It can take more, but 1,700 should get it going pretty well...

1.7krms for daily beatings, I'd go 4XL, not 4.

Also, DD 3518 would work as well as the DD 9518.

i guess ill try to find some of the subs mentioned. hmmm

I wouldn't recommend a Q even with BP on 1.7k.
