best sounding 10inch subs for a sealed enclosure

People say that some subs sound better in a sealed enclosure than others... I and looking to get new subs for mine whats the best out there for about $150 each

IFFFFFFF you can find them, some of the loudest 10" subwoofers I listened to one day bored window shopping from one audio shop to the next. Was a pair of 10" C series Orion subwoofers. Their pretty in-expensive and they were taking 600WRMS in the shop and making things come off the wall's. I later bought the P series no longer manufactured per new HP series. But then again it depends on what you want, and how much money your willing to spend. Those 10's were louder that day to me and my friends than so many other woofers I heard that day and even when I went back to make up my mind on what to buy. So Thats one opinion. They go for about 100$ a pair on ebay "IF you can find them" !!

10" 06 kicker L7, more SPL than SQ but still really likes those small sealed enclosures

Soundstream Ref 10's sound **** good in a small sealed box.

x2 on the Image Dynamics suggestion.

Look into Boston Acoustics as well. I've heard an older model of their drivers sealed and it was quite amazing.

Can't forget Jl Audio.. Their drivers perform well sealed.

10" L7 with 750 - 1k in .75 -1.0 still gets pretty loud and sounds good.

SSA Icon 10" you could afford one but if you put 1k on it it shoudl be pretty loud still.

I have a 10" IDMAX. It's an image dynamic sub, takes 1000 watts RMS. Sound awesome. For the SPL, size, price, it's hard to beat. It's still in the box, unused.

10-12" Fi Q used... probably can find somewhere on this site for 150.

I was looking into the Jl w3 people say they are ok and over priced,,,, orion HP, PG rsdc, even the new Clarion subs look ok and i will look into the image dynamics,,, I am a nerd when it comes to stuff like this and everyone around where i live always have JL's,kicker,fosgate and so forth and want something different. I hate having the same stuff everyone else has.

I think you'd really be please with an IDmax sub. They are accurate, and have more upper range than the Fi subs. I don't know why everyone loves Fi subs. Sure, they can get pretty loud, and play low, but they don't play much in the way of upper bass.

I didn't see where you said $150. In that case, you may wany to consider some elemental design subs. I have a few of those too, if you would like to buy any.

Re audio SE 10's. I have installed over 30 of these woofers in sealed enclosures and they sound as good as any other woofer out there in a sealed box!
