Best sound for 2 12' JL Audio

I recently installed 2 12" JL Audio with a 1200 watt power acoustic amp in my 2003 Dodge Interpid. I would like to know what direction my subs should be facing for the best sound. Right now I have them facing the back seat, will I get a better sound if I turn them around facing the rear of the trunk.. ...

from what i have found, when the subs are in the trunk, facing towards the rear bumper is usually the way to go. you will have to play with positioning it to be sure though. as far as the optimum setup, your subs should be firing through a baffle into the cabin of the car. that baffle should seal off the trunk from the car.
