Best sound deadener for the money?

Been talking to a bunch of different people about sound deadener and I've been hearing way too many mixed things. I've been told to stay away from Dynamat because of how overpriced it is. I've heard some good things about ED's edead 45, which is what I'm leaning more towards, and also some not so good things. I can't make up my mind on what to purchase, who would have thought there would be so many **** sound deadener manufacturers? I'm not looking to drop too much money on this, around $40.

I drive a 2001 Accord (trunk car) and plan on deadening the trunk and spare tire well at least. How much do you think I should buy to adequately take care of the rattle?

if its just vibrations and rattles, what do u think of cld tiles from sound deadener showdown? i put 1 on the left side of my crew cab wall, and it stopped any audible rattles inside the cabin. im pretty sure one on the right and the thing wouldnt rattle at all(i just dont care if it rattles outside)

u could get around 15-20 tiles for $40 shipped and u dont have to cover the entire area for them to work
