to original poster, there is no best sub.

all too true....but i've had very good results from the stereo integrity mag 12 and it outdoes the type x all day long...when i blind tested the new one against a w7, 5 out 7 guys picked the mag for sq and the mag had a slight edge on ouput too on the mic compared to the 12w7, used a jl 1000/1 too so no power advantage.

newayz, loudest single sub setup I heard was my old 15" RE SX in a 3.14 cu ft vented enclosure tuned to 30 hz. with about 800 watts going to it.

cleanest single sub setup I heard has to be my friend's 12" IDMAX sealed (1.5 cubes I believe). Accurate and punchy bass...hit those lows when it needed to.

its all personal preference, some an RL-P would be loudest and to others a TYPE E would be loudestlol, u have to go out and listen for yaself, buy buy and buy
