Best RCA cables?

I get some engine noise but I can get it to go away by moving around my amp and the wires under the seat. I think it might be the RCA cables picking up noise so I'd like to upgrade them to start. Right now they are shielded but I can't remember the brand. They weren't that expensive so they're probably not great. I see braided, twisted, shielded.... What's the best? I also see that you can make your own. Anyone done that? Total pain in the *** or a do-able project? Thanks.

try grounding the outside of your rca terminals on your HU, its probally a grounding issue realistically if you have engine noise. see if I can find u a pic

are they close to the power wire? RCA's are usually not the problem..though it may help a little I think you have something else that's causing the problem. what kind of HU do you have?

if that doesn't work make sure your rcas aren't running right next to any power wires. if that doesn't work maybe then try to replace rcas, I've always like Tsunami and Monster Cable RCAs

truthfully twisted is said to be the best, even better than shielded. but personally if you have a pioneer HU try the grounding trick above. i had this very same issue, but mine was Unbearable. so bad my sub and speakers would pop when turning car off. now its PERFECT.

Thanks all. I think I'll try grounding the rca's. Does it matter if the loops touch? I have a set of sub preamps on my HU as well so I assume it's ok to to just run the loop down and around all three outputs on either side?

Some1 on eBay had the stinger lvl 3 RCA for the xtreme low low awhile back!!!!

I grabbed a couple sets, even a 6 channel set!! Haha

The cons... The colors on the other end didn't match up... Took a Lil trial n error to figure it out but all is good now.
