So I have a 2013 subaru wrx sedan which will be running 2600w rms at most. The stock alt is a 110A alt. I would like to hold off on getting a new alternator for now.i plan on doing the big 3 as well.
I did order a XSPower D3400 to replace my under hood battery, is that a good idea having a deep cycle up front? I was also considering running one of those small batcaps in conjunction with a Knu knf60 distribution fuse block. Should I do this or will the D3400 be enough for now? If I should add the batcap or should I get a battery isolator or just run them together? If I do use the D3400 and the smaller batcap battery in the trunk would that put too much strain on the alternator for the time being until I get a H/O?
Just wanting some opinions on what I should do for now to get this system up and running without going all out on a H/O alt just yet. Thanks.
