Im trying to move my music to higher quality digital level meaning no more compressed files

I know FLAC is what everyone says is best option but my unit dosnt play FLAC and neither does the 80prs. I have been successful in finding FLAC music, best option is to convert it now?

Accepts MP3/WMA/WAV files, WAV would be the best option correct? Or would i still be compressing the file?

And if the listed formats are junk, how are you SQ guys playing FLAC files threw your systems?

ORRRR am i making a bigger deal out of this then its worth, and i should just used 320 mp3s and stfu

WAV files may lead to longer loading times. They are uncompressed and massive compared to anything else. To really get the best quality you need lossless files and you need to seek out the best masters of your favorite music. The hard part is getting music that isn't overly compressed from the studios. If it's mainstream popular music that was recorded past the late 90s you might as well use 320 kbps MP3s, although there is a slow rising trend toward releasing or re-releasing better sounding masters for purchase. You lose little information with 320 kbps. I've done a quick comparison to a CD and I can't say I can hear a difference.

I use Album list - Dynamic Range Database to look up albums before I decide to buy. It's hit or miss but it's worth a look.

the closest compressed files to lossless is AAC 500kbps, i had done some comparison and there was no freq loss between the flac file and the AAC file, so u won't notice any loss, but i am not sure the HU will play those
