best position for subs in x sport

i have 12" MXL sub and a R-F amp

I have a custom built encloser for the sub and amp

What is the best way to position this for the loudest sound in an explorer sport?

Face it toward the back. I would believe that would be the best bet. However you can alway try different way yourself. It is all up to you since your listening to it. I have found through experience that it seems the back sound the best.
