Best place to sell jewelry?

My girlfriend received a diamond pendant as a birthday gift. She doesn't want it, and would rather have the money. Is there a good place to sell this other than ebay? I suppose I could list it in the paper, but does that work? By the way, it was appraised for insurance purposes at $1900. Any ideas would be appreciated.

pawn shops will rip you off badly. check and see if craigslist.com has a section for your area.

most jewelry stores will buy jewelry back......

maybe not the settings, but they'll buy diamonds back as long as you have records of maintainence (which is usually free, people are just too lazy)

steer clear of pawn shops, tho, they automatically assume everything that comes through the door is stolen, so they wont give you crap for it
