IMHO denon or mcintosh or nakamichi or eclipse i guess. all depends on what the consumer is looking for be it d/a converters or 30 band eq. etc.

I don't know would the introduction of the P9 combo into your (the royal "your" - not speaking to you specifically) setup realistically be considered 'settling.'

Myself - I'd go with the F1 if for no other reason than cosmetics - I like the look of it better than the P9 - but that's just me.

the rockford fosgate rfx-8250 (rebadged denon) is one of the best affordable HU's.

or you could throw down some major cash and find a dct-r1/z1.
