Maybe i should have asked this before i ordered the subwoofer, but i recently purchased a Polk Audio MM840 DVC to add a bit of bass to my current setup. Only other changes so far is a Pioneer 3300Bt head-unit and stock speakers which i think are pretty good. There was a premium Macintosh sound system option on certain models of Subaru legacy which came with a 13 speaker system including a 8 inch sub on the rear parcel shelf. I have this hole available to use and after browsing some various club forums the Polk mm840 seemed to be a popular choice. Most of those guys already had the factory powered amp system so couldn't really find a general consensus on what amp to go for.
Polk audio recommended their PA D1000.1 amplifier. I have no idea on current specs and what is the best option to go for to get the most from this sub safely so any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
