Best iPod head unit?

I have a pioneer deh-something right now that is going out. I am thinking touch screen... What are the good choices out there right now. I would like something that I can scroll the iPod with very quickly and stuff. Plus, it will need to be able to charge/use the iPod touch and iPhone (my current pioneer will not).

I am pretty sure that I can go single or dual height.

Suggestions?

If it matters, I have a 450/4 actively running some K2s and a KX2500 kicking some T2 fosgates or Qs (depending on how much room I need in my trunk for a box - summertime is smaller box because of ball gear and golf clubs).

touchscreen is such a bad idea for an car stereo, those things are a death trap for operating while in motion.

I have an Alpine iDA- x100 it works REALLY good with ipod interface, it's direct connect so you just control everything with the wheel in the middle. Customize the backgrounds, i have a nice pair of tits on mine xD and lots of sound options.

i play with both everyday and the ipod control is so easy and they sound alot better than pioneer. both have garmin nav. and i have yet to have a problem with em. i sold quite a few of each and we havnt had ne come back yet

Do you have to pay extra for the Garmin on the Kenwood units, or does it just work? I have a GPS on my phone, so I don't need it in a car if it costs too much (I use 2 cars for work and the phone works out best since I always have it...and it is free).

I think that I am in for touch screen. I have the wheel in 2 cars and I am ready for something else - good or not... but I do put about 45K a year on a car for work.
