Best HU $180 can buy.

I'm needing some suggestions for a new HU. Some things that I want are:

1) excellent SQ

2) iPod control

3) Hi-voltage pre-amp output (4+ volts)

4) Some tuning capabilities (enough for the average audiophile to be happy with)

5) Clean and simple appearence. NO flashy lights and million buttons.

6) Subwoofer control and RCA output

7) Budget of ~$180, definitely no more than $200.

The suggestions can be from the 2006 lineup as well. Again, I have a simple passive xover setup so any HU with capabilities exceeding this setup is pointless. Ideally, I just want the best SQ HU that I can fully utilize its features with my current setup.

That is quite alot to ask out of a $180 deck but I would look at some older Eclipse decks.

Kenwood Excelon KDC-X589 It should fit your needs quite well. I used to have on. Excellent head unit.

From what ive seen the alpine cda-9885 is pretty nice has all of what your looking for. You can get them for 215 new but maybe you can find a used one for cheaper. Meh

Pioneer Premier deh-p590ib meets all those requirements although it might be slightly flashy. but you can set it so the screen is mostly black with just song titles. I just got mine and i love it. The Ipod cable is included also which saves some $$ 4 volt outputs front, rear, and sub. The link is for one right about $180 from a reliable seller (millionbuy) You can also get it from someone else for cheaper if you search.
