Best HID Kits?

You really need HID projectors. Halogen housings were not designed for HID/Xenon bulbs.

With that said I will probably just toss bulbs in mine because projectors are big MONEY

Honestly you can aim them pretty good in non-projection headlights. I will be upgraded my headlights (non-projection) before I switch to HID but none of the projectors meet my style.

As far as quality on HIDS, I would much rather go with a company that I know carries a lifetime warranty that can be proven good from customer reviews.

DDM sounds to me like a no-brainer. Why would you pay more for a HID set when you can get good quality and good customer service at 1/3 of the price? Maybe it's just me. But I will be buying several sets of them from DDM.

Fist of all, WHO ARE YOU, n00b?

If you are claiming lies, there are 2 things wrong with that statement.

FIRST: You obviously have not put any thought into the response you have added to this thread. Any housing has a cut-off. You have to aim them correctly with or with-out projectors. It can be done with non-projector style headlights.

SECOND: Lies, as in plural. Plural means multiple. There is only 1 statement. 1 is NOT plural. ONE is SINGLE, meaning no "s". Since when does 1 = 2? Did you miss math class, you dumb ***? You typed "lies" with out showing any interest in correct capitalization or punctuation. Learn English you douche bag.

pics of aftermarket hid in a stock reflector plz. You might have a spot where most of the light is concentrated but that is not a cut of line, dumbass. You will still have glare which is the problem with "plug and play" "kits" in stock housings.

With a projector you will get:

Even light ( no hotspots)

you wont have to buy a higher k rating which produces less lumens to get you ghetto blue color your after.

Projectors will also keep light out of people eyes. (duh)

and just because i can.

my retrofit.

i was very pleased with the xenarc hid kit i got off egay ($80)... im sure it wasnt the best but imo its one of the better kits in the $60-$120 price range
i have the same kit in my car.

paid about 85.00 shipped.

been over 8 month's now. no problems, and i love the out put. 8k FTW!

Yes, a lot better.
I am actually sold on the Apexcone 55W Full Size Ballast HID Kit, nice price, and you cannot beat a lifetime warranty for that price either!
That's what I have.

I have a Mazda 6. I put them in the low beams, which puts them behind a lense, but I still have a huge bright spot right in front of my car. They definitely produce more light and light up further away things more, but because of the bright spot in front of my car, my eyes get fatigued and stay in "high-light" mode. The end effect is that I still can't see much better.

I think I should aim them higher, but I'm afraid that I'll blind people. I'm pretty sure I have them aimed perfectly horizontal, though.

They sure are pretty though.

the reason why the HID kit isn't performing how you expected leaving you with un even lighting and hot spots is cause the projectors in your head lights were not made for HID bulbs, they were made for halogens.

A LOT of cars that have projector head lights aren't always run with HIDs. most are halogens, and putting an HID kit on a halogen projector will give you similar results.

I figured as much. Can I do anything to help the problem, though?

retro-fit your current halogen projectors with HID based projectors.

i don't know if you could get away with just swapping the lens but the spacing/lenght of the cut off sheild, projector reflector, and lens may end you with a bad result.

another vote for Maxvisions from Tim at HID SOLUTIONS on dodgetalk. he really knows the tricks with dodges, not all kits will work for everyone in every vehicle all the time. My name is NK over there fyi. I have a 4300k kit with the halogen highs.
