Best HID Kits?

3000k has a tendancy to run hot and have a very yellow tint to them.

Anything over 4300-4500 your loosing output and the color starts turning blue...

Tell him etc. sent you... maybe he'll give me a discount lol

HIDs also dont like to be switched on and off, so having them for highs (9005 bulbs) in any place other than rural Montana, I would recommened staying with just the lows.

x2 on the DDM kits. i just ordered a full size 35w kit and got upgraded to the slim 35w kit for free. $50 for a slim kit with a lifetime warranty is a hell of a deal.

so, if i should never buy DD, FI, or any other brand because the JLW7 will last longer and sound better than any other brand because i paid more?
negative..

not all 20-40 dollar ballast have the same durability/quality of a 100+ costing ballast. yes they may have the same circuit boards but they may not have the quality in components..

ie.. lets say

this 40 ballast is the Audopipe GD3001

and the 100$ ballast is the RE 12.1...

yeah they both have the same curcuit borads and majority components but are manufactured differently and perform differently..

some ballast are waterproof some aren't.. some have a quick heat up time for the bulbs and others don't. some flicker on warm up, some don't.. some last longer than others.

do you know what the failure rate is on ballast and or bulbs between cheap and expensive? i don't.. but i wouldn't want some cheap *** set that could fail in a short period of time just because they cost 40 bucks..

not an issue with ddm ones, they have a lifetime warranty

get the bi xenon kind wayy better than the mechanical kind. those just use a electro magnet to move the bulb in and out. the bixenon have 2 seperate bulbs. more ballasts but way better

The thing is that DDM has the best service and warranty i have ever seen in the business, not to mention the best pricing and there are hundreds of reviews on his product. the only people mad at him are his competitors.

you sound brainwashed and sure you didn't even see the thread link i posted. the $40 kits had the same components and weather proofing as the higher end kits, because the higher end kits all come from the the manufacturer.

i did read the thread.

i did not further my homework as to how great the DDM product is nor do i really care. i already have my HID kit and won't be looking for any changes anytime soon.

overall, i could care less. :/

i'm going to go buy a W7 now..
