Best HID Kits?

you can just get colored bulbs at the auto part store for under 50.00 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
I have some of those and they ****. I don't want HID for the color, I want them for the additional light output. I will be getting 6000K or 5000k depending on who has what for sale.

HID solutions his sight isn't up yet but you can get up with him on Dodgetalk forum good guy will answer all your questions and has a kit to fit EVERYTHING. http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=217515
I need a bi-xenon type his are too much. Thanks for the suggestion though. Whats your name over at dt? Not to many from over there come on this forum.

Any other opinions on HID?

HID kits are all the same...

overall.. you get what you pay for..

you buy a 50 dollar hid kit and it's going to turn out shit. you spend a nice amount of money on a kit and it can last you forever..

i bought the 70 dollar kit off ebay from mydepots havent had a problem with them in the past 6 months, i did buy a seperate relay harness so im not pulling the power through my stock headlight wiring

really? what if they are all from the same manufacturing plant but relabeled for sale in the US?

Jim over at DDM Tuning http://www.ddmtuning.com/ sells a few different kits. he has never hidden the fact that they are exactly like other kits on the market, but he offers them at a cheaper price and to be honest one of the best warranties in the business. he has sent new kits before i even drop the "defect" in the mail or pulled out of a car. they have a lifetime warranty that is actually respected by many forums.

i have done a few e46 retrofits, but sometimes just dropping in a set of bulbs and a 30 minute install was what some of the customers i used to deal with needed. do you know that if bought in bulk, Jim pays $10 a kit for the basic HIDS? he is supposed to run a spring special for $17+15 shipping to put his competitors on the defense.

long story short, a member from Bimmerforums did a vid on the popular HIDS on the market and he breaks open the cases to a few of them. the $40-$60 ballast that most ebay sellers and DDM sell are the same circuit board and components of the "high-end" $180+ kits people think are superior. even at $100 with a lifetime warranty and a hell of alot of support and testimony to his warranty, they are a great deal.

check the vid and discussion, it gets pretty good

so, if i should never buy DD, FI, or any other brand because the JLW7 will last longer and sound better than any other brand because i paid more?
