I have been dealing with what I think is a 'clipping' issue as my subwoofers smell up after 5 min of play, even if not really cranked. Wiring is good inside of the boxes I have had, electrical is alright for 1500w rms (all 0 gauge big three done optima yellow under the hood). I have never in my life had a problem like this until I baught this grand cherokee and switched to a alpine headunit (cde-hd138bt) even with crap electrical in my grand am gt I had (crap batt & no big 3) and my trailblazer (had good electrical, same as in my jeep) and I used to be able to play 'full power' for long periods of time with no smell, no hot woofers, no problems. Used pioneer premier headunits in the past. Only thing I can think about is the ground location in the rear for my amp, which I choose what holds the rear seats down under the seats. Sanded everything Down the proper way. So was just wondering from my 'grand cherokee' people where you guys choose to put your grounds. Thanks in advance this problem needs to go lol
