wow im suprised no one has given the correct answer yet....

Titebond Molding and Trim glue is your best bed, it is designed for materials like MDF that would like to absorb the glue hence it is much thicker. Also because it is thicker also makes it so it wont run...

There is no actual correct answer if you want to get down to brass tacks of it.

There are all different kinds of adhesives / glues that are formulated to be used given the project for their use and to be quite honest, it's more about the preference of what glue someone likes to use and the results they had using it.

dont use anything other than a dedicated WOOD GLUE for bonding WOOD to WOOD.

dont use construction adhesive or liquid nails or any of that crap. wood glue has been proven to be stronger. period.
Subfloor adhesive IS made for wood to wood use. It bonds OSB plywood to joists(made of 2x4's), so I don't see how you think it's a bad thing to use. Not to mention it also is able to bond FRONZEN and/or WET wood...that's hardcore stuff right there. I've compared it to some Titebond products and the subfloor adhesive by Dap is better...from my experience. Hardens quicker, also.

Yes. Apparently the search term 'wood glue' yields 0 results. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

i say you do use sub floor adhesive or liquid nails. be sure to run your fingers down all the corners to smooth out the glue. try mixing gorilla glue and PLC sub floor adhesive together. we should have a medical section on the forum.
