No you wont need another battery to power it as long as you have a good on in the car.

And I have a refurbished one as well and it is AWESOME. Very efficent and its Kicker so that should really speak for itself.

Hey I am looking to get an amp that does a true 1000 rms. Whats the best anyone knows of that i can get for under $250?

I'd settle for less power and a better brand. $250 and a 1kW isn't logical
