Best for 400...

Ok, this will be my last post concerin subs and my choice. I just personall cant come to a conclusion. The only conclusion that i've came to is the amp (JBL 1200). But for 400, maybe 450, what is the best sub (12") that will produce very good spl and sq. Possible hit 150 dbs. I dunno why, but thats just a goal i've set that i would like to hit.

just beacuase thats the rms doesnt mean you have to put that much. it would be loud with 500 watts

alright, i wasn't sure if it would push it. in the specs it says:

SQ: .75-1.25 cuft sealed or 2.5 cuft tuned to 23Hz

SQL: 2.25 cuft tuend to 33 Hz

SPL: 2+ cuft tuned to res freq

whats sql? i would want to go w/ 2+ cubic ft. right? Also, what would i tune it to?

SQL is SPL and SQ, i guess you can say its a mix of both.

i would go a little smaller, and tuned a little lower for a daily driver... tune to 30-35 hz, maybe about 3 cubes net...

honestly, if you're gonna stay w/1 jbl then i say go ahead and get a hc instead of xxx, but if you're gonna upgrade go w/the xxx

alright then, one last question.. this may sound like a newbie question and probably is, no one has ever told me how, but how do you tune a box to a certin amount of hz?
