I recently picked up an Alpine MRP-F450 open box at Best Buy for cheap.
# 70 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (100 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms)
# 200 watts RMS x 2 bridged output at 4 ohms (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)
I'm considering the two following component sets:
-Pioneer TS-D1720C, rated at 60W RMS
-Image Dynamics CTX65CS, rated at 100W RMS
I assume that 200w (x2 bridged) would be way too much for either set.
70w RMS would probably be too little for the Image Dynamics, and maybe not even enough for the Pioneer (as I understand they can handle more like 100w).
Any advice on what I should do here? I want to keep this amp. Should I go with the Pioneers and just run them with 70w, or get the ID's and push all 200w at them?
Thanks in advance.
