Best comps for metal/rock >$200

I demo'd the Crystals, the Diamonds above and countless others. I went with the Crystals. All I listen to is rock and metal and for me the Crystals sounded the best.

I think someone said in one of the Crystal threads that the Comp set was designed for rock music.

wow, someone actually had Crystals on Demo...thats awsome

Speakers aren't necessarily designed for 1 genre of music but

the crystals will get the job done for rock and or rap as a good speaker

makes any tyoe of music sound good.

Good choice, just get a beefy amp to power them up and you'll be

golden !

i heard crystal's sound was compared to the k2p.. which makes it a harsh set.
that was an ignorant statment........//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

they are so far from being harsh its not even funny

and whats a k2p anyways?

how is that an ignorant statement when that IS actually something that i've heard from someone on here? and if you did you looked around a bit, the k2p is about a 400 dollar focal set, which makes the sscs6 a good set if it is compared to the k2p, if you like that kind of sound. have i heard k2p's? yes.

With death metal wouldn't you just need a pair of loud coaxials.??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........................no

lots of metal has some pretty beefy bass/midbass

nothign like those double kicks going at 225+ bpm

And what does that have to do with speakers.?? A coxial is pretty much a mid bass with a tweeter so how is it so different.
