best component speakers?

what is the best compontent speakers for spl, sq, and sqpl? I am more interested in the sqpl side since I am getting a dvd player and screen intalled soon and I would like to have the crisp clear but boomy sound like I would have at home.

You tell 'em! Go listen for yourself and ask for opinions after you have a reference point to compare w/.

yeah it is all opinion based, but i will throw in my personal fav is the MB Quart QSD's or the Focal utopia 3 ways. now if you wanted either of them i hope you got 600 or more to spend on comps.

I can't go listen to all the brands because my local shop, which is an hour away, only has memphis, concept, and eclipse. I love how they sound but they are too expensive for me right now. so what are some of the better brands out there?

Try the DEI Studios...very nice comps for the money. Orion HCCA's are nice too, but a good bit more expensive than the DEI's, and don't sound any better imo. Or since you can hear the Memphis, I would try to give the Memphis Studio's a listen as well. How much money do you want to spend on comps?
