Best Buy Installer help

I am looking to join my local Best Buy installation team. I was in there getting a cd player installed with a friend and I asked the guy about his past and how he got the job. He recognized my intrest and said they are in need of help now and especially during the winter for remote starters. He told me only him and his boss would be working this winter and they could use help. He explained how Best Buy pays for you to go to the Twin Cities and get trained. He also said that you need to know a good deal about electricity.

I know the basics and I will be installing a sound system for my cuzin in the next week, but I need a little help from you guys. I need to know what I need to learn about electricity and remote starters and possably car alarms. Links to websites would be great, but I would like a website that you personally read and understood because I know it gets complicated and I need it to be as easy as possable. Thanks

Take the MECP exam...that'll tell you the basics. Go for the Advanced if you feel up to par.

i got a nintey-two, because i got the MECP basic installers study guide.

really man just order the basic study guide and the basic test is easy as shit.... first class was a little harder tho but go ahead and get the study guide for that too
