RF was good stuff back in the day of the Power/Punch HE AND HX series. They still make decent stuff nowadays i just think there quality went down when the ownership changed hands.

Wondering what ownership changed and when?

Rockford makes good wire, overpriced in retail, but good. Unfortunatly their products are so overpriced ill never buy anything from them, unless its with a discount like the wire i got. 4g wiring kit capable of 100a for 20 bucks is a good deal. Rockfords gonna have to start dropping prices if they wanna keep up with the competition though. I never sold any rockford equipment when i worked at BB, not sure if its RFs fault or BBs fault for the prices being so high.

Rockford always makes quality stuff old school and new school. I have been using them as well since the Punch 45,75 & 150 days and will continue to do so.

I used to not be a big fan of RF from like 1988 to about 2004 just from how the amps were laid out but after owning a couple of the RF punch amps with the 2007 and up foot print I have grown very fond of them.

Wow that's ****ed up.

I'd take RF over Polk and Kicker anyday.

The Polk shit is hell of a lot more over priced than RF.

and Kicker is cheapo junk.

Rockford definitely ****ed themselves tho. I don't see how they are going to stay in business.

I've NEVER equated BB with quality...cheap yes...quality no.

It would be cool to see them set up factory direct online sells. That should bring prices down and still allow them to sell a lot of merchandise. Hell, ending their relationship with BB might be the best thing to happen to RF in years...

that's not at all what they're going to do .. that would kill their independant shops .. they are trying to get more into quality installs and stuff instead of grab and go items... we'll see...

I was just commenting on what I'd like to see from them, not what I think is going to happen.
