thinking about getting another part time job , or maybe a full time, at either one of those. i wanted to do installs for the longest but i dont think thats for me concidering ive been having trouble with my knee. so i was concidering working in the stereo department slanging speakers , head units and such.

question. are those strictly positions commision? what is the usual pay? or is it not worth it?

im currently at sears working a commish position in the tool department and im getting sick of it. so i imagine it cant be much worse than that. i know i could go into the store or call but im positive they wont exactly answer my questions. so i posted em here. and i know this probably has been asked but im not going through pages of 1+ year old threads.

No they are not commission postions. All the ones I have worked at and known someone that has it has been /hr. SA, TX started at 9.50 selling and 10.50 installing, w/o experience.

so you did both installs and sales. do they require you to move to installs after X amount of time , or was that your own decision? did you enjoy it?

i did stocking at sears for 11 months and all that kneeling down banged my knees up and i probably couldnt get under a dash without hurting myself.

Why don't instead of applying at circuit city and best buy . try to get into a real audio shop like your local car audio shop.
because i dont plan on living down here much longer. i could always transfer if i get in with one of them.

I was just trying to help -- he sounds as though he may have some experience there.

i know, i just read right past that. sounds like it might fit the bill though, i may have to apply soon. im just getting sick of sears. i mean its a pretty decent/fun job but , meh. id rather do something audio related that i would enjoy.

gotta get back to work though.

get out before you become a zombie! hahahah i'm only here because i have to be. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

Well i wouldnt reccomend it, their is no strictly car audio sales at both anymore. It is open floor selling so you would be between t.v.s, car audio, and technology.. I wouldn't reccomend it for the 8-9 $ start off pay.
