At $500 you don't have to worry about "best bang for your buck" value, budget crap. You can get some of the best power houses on the market.

DC 2k, SAZ 1500. AB 150.1 (?). Lots of options.

I would like to buy new unless I could get a good deal on a used amp. I gave 500 for a number b/c I really like rockford fosgate 1500 but would rather keep the price in the lower range. But I don't want some cheap power hog amp that doesn't do rated power.

I want something that is gonna be good for everyday beating but can get loud when I goto the local soundwars comp.

It's going to be powering a Mmats Juggernaut 12"

If your budget is $500 you have alot of good choices out there. Aq2200, Saz 1500, DC 2k, Crecendo 2k, Ab 150.1, etc pretty much what's all been listed are great amps for your price range.

AQ2200. Ive had a 3500d,1200d, and 120.4 from them. Great amps.

You can get a used SAZ 3k for that much. Youd have to keep the gains way down, but youd have power on standby.. dont have to worry about rise.
