I'd really like to upgrade both my front and sub stage amps. Everything I'm running is in my sig but the amps are a JBL CS60.4 and a JBL CS300.1.
I should mention that I'm not running anything off my HU power. Everything is running off my front stage amp. Should I get one with more channels? One channel for each speaker and tweeter? God...I'm such a noob.
I'd really like to avoid doing this again for awhile. At least 2 years. I'd like to get all the potential I can out of the equipment I now have and my future plans.
In the future I'll be changing both my JBL 1202D subs out for a single JL 13TW5 sub when they have better pricing. So I'd like a mono amp that's at least a 500.1
My two biggest concerns:
1) Price- $250 or less.
2) Size- It has to be small and slim because I have extremely limited space.
I've looked at the new Alpine PDX 600.1. It seems to be perfect in size but it's priced out of my budget.
I've also read some great feedback here about the JL Audio 500.1 amps. Not sre about their size. Of course, they are also expensive.
There was a Pheonix Gold Amp that fit the budget better and was a 600.1 believe. Problem was that it looked huge.
How much power would you think I should run to get the most out of my current equipment and my future plans?
Thanks!
