best amp for $500?

the one thing that ***** is my box rise its wired at .5 but rises to 1.57 at 40hz and wired at 2 it rises to 5.67 if i remember correctly

who there right ******* mind would pay 500 for a 1200 watt amp. Brz1200 for 150 and call it a day. Why would anybody buy a dc 2k for 575 u have to be sh!tting me sideways. If u not tryin to put 18volts on your amp u don't need that expensive asz dc *****. Get u a brz1200 or a opti200d.

I have a brz1700 after setting my gain to my head unit using a dmm I only get 770 tru clean watts at 1.57 ohms and having two skar vvx-12 im way under powering them

Man I'd look at some used DD at that price point. 500 is a nice budget.

Dumb I just remember something the amp is rated at 160 amps I could not find a amp fuse at 160 so I put in 140 that could be why its under powering. I have a 180 amp fuse breaker would it be safe if I switched it out with that??

here, the more power the better, the less strain on electrical and gives you room for upgrades.

i dont know everything like globalminds but if you put a 160A fuse in i dont think there would be any difference in your output

What are your goals? SQ 1.2kW? Or SQL/SPL oriented 1.2kW?

You might as well save yourself a good bit of cash and just get an Audioque 1200D if you aren't after SQ entirely.

Heck, you could find some of the MBQuart Discus 1.5kW amplifiers used on the forums all the time.

Both of which are great bang for your buck.
