Its in the stickie at the top of this thread dude, set ure gain via DMM. Where your gain is set only has to do with your preout voltage, the gain IS NOT A VOLUME KNOB.
THat being said, AQ1200D or a DC 1.2K .... The AQs are about 280, i love mine. Both amps are .5ohm stable on good electrical should do 1500-1700wrms

Ya dun that I have a brz 1700 everybody says it does rated I have it weird at .5ohm's with box rise to 1.57 at 40hz it put out 774 wrms maybe it not being high end amp it does not put out rated I just want tru 1200 or so wrms

those are rated at 14.4 volts. So if your voltage was dropping pretty low, that power is probably about right where it should be. But for $500 you can get a pretty nice amp in the 1200 range.

I would imagine that amp wired at .5 is dropping pretty low. Your not going to get much more running a better amp at .5 if you dont fix your electrical first. You will just smoke a better amp and not the BRZ

Ok well thats good, just saying were the gain is has nothing to do with how powerful the amp is. But my AQ1200 does 1200wrms easy @ 1ohm and of course the DC does it no sweat. But .5ohm daily is hard, idk either change to 1ohm set-up or run at 2ohms

A H/O would help ALOT, but if no that then sum big batt(s), if i were you change to a 1ohm sub or configuration. Or look for an amp that does 1200wrms @ 2ohms. It will be much easier on your electrical. Most kickers only go down to 2ohm stable, how big is your stock alt?

Ide go this route, AQ2200D Amplifier will do 1600wrms @ 2 easy. You could just set your gains for 1200wrms, have plenty of room to upgrade laters lol

Ever since i got my AQ1200D, im nut huggin there amps like a mofo. I love mine, look super sick and i still havnt even gotten mine warm. Puts out tons of power

ew why, atleaste go with an lanzar opti2000D, i thought the alpine m series didnt even do rated

Correct me if im wrong but wasnt there someone last week running a alpine m1000 and everyone said it only did 750wrms clean. Dosnt sound like much of an upgrade to me

From my experience, a GOOD amp and GOOD box mean about 100times more then the sub. Any sub will sound sub-par on a sub-par amp

EDIT: This is better then the alpine http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_44044_Lanzar-OPTI3201D.html perfect rms for you, 1500wrms @ 2ohms, plus this is 1ohm stable. Way more options in the future

From some research my stock alternator does 120 amps I also have a sk-bt60 battery n 0 gauge connecting everything to my amp

The good thing is as I have a set up now it seems a run pretty good just under 800 clean power I ran it for about 35-40 minutes yesterday pushing my amp hard the whole time when I got home I touched it. it was still cold. my subs where a tiny bit warm but that's it
