Best amp for $1000?

I SERIOUSLY doubt he's going to stop with the COMP Vr's

If It's me, shop around

Either pick up a Fosgate 4kw

Sundown 3000D

or a Digital Designs Z1

Z1 is a bit more pricey and does over 2x what you want, Fosgate has a "3,000w rms amp" and the Sundown is also underrated.

I've read where the Z1 at 14.4 put down over 5,000 watts, I know the Sundown is going to do well over that 3,000 watt mark and the Fosgate 2,000 watt you're looking at will probably give you somewhere closer to 2400-2500.

Sorry, I threw some of my dream amps in with what you wanted, lol.

Worry about yoru electrical man, it's VERY important. You dont want your stuff dying on you every other weekend.

No...im running two 15" Kicker L7s @ 1 ohm. And Its in a 1990 chevy blazer.

Im looking into yellow top batterys now. Oh and I got 2100 total budget. $1000 is the set-aside for an amp. Thats why Im here asking which to get.

Will the 6.0 Farad cap really not help? Cuz I already ordered it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

heh...well.

It's not going to do much of shit. Upgrade your alternator and get a few Kinetik batteries or something of the likes. One under the hood one in the back should be sufficient.

Plan on spending 400 for the batteries and around 350-400 for the alternator.

Budget just got shit on, didnt it?

$300-400 for a good alternator

$300-500 for replacing the stock battery and adding a 2nd one in the back.

$100-150 for cables.

Those are the main ones u should put into consideration before runnin 2k+ watts

The subs and box are 700, IF I get that amp, its another 700...so that leaves me with another 700 for alt / battery. I already got 0-1 gauge wiring.

And I can get two yellow tops for $300. So that gives me a dry cell in front and back. with 400 left. So that 400 can go to a HO altenator. So..I guess my budget survived...

Now can we get back on topic? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Im really not too familar with wiring a seperate battery in relay...do i need one of these "amp battery isolators" and if not what do they do?

U dont need it. It's nice if u like to play music with the car off alot, but if u dont plan on doing that u could care less. Usually there is a .2-.3 voltage drop after the battery isolator too, doesnt make a huge difference but just lettin u know
