my 2 personal favorites are

In Flames and five finger death punch

in flames is melodic, very musical, not just scream and bang on drums see how fast u can sting a guitar.

five finger death punch, he sings with passion and he is very into it. in concert he is amazing. the music is pretty good, pretty different from others in my opinion.

Soilwork is another good option, he sings clean a lot which is good for a lot of people.

if u like metal but want it a little softer, i like dead by april. sings clean half the time, screams the other half. the music itself is pretty good, just more laid back

ATR is amazing. Old stuff is the best, and the new cd coming out will be amazing. went back to their old style =) can't wait.

Check out Solution 13 (might only find them on myspace), might like them. their singer is in a wheelchair, and when he screams, because he is sitting and how his diaphram works, he actually screams while breathing in. check it out
