if you got one with the performance mods it would probably be fine on 1k. but if you're going to run a single look at the sundown x8.

but if you're more into sound quality, a jl 8w7.

i have some old school tc sounds tc1000 8's. they were $100 each. those are the best bang for the buck 8's if you can ever find them.

i do happen to know where some soundsplinter orphan 8s are...

i'm still trying to find a pair of soundsplinter rl-i8s.

i ran a single rl-i8 ported on about 400 watts in my last s2000, more than enough bass for that car.

i did a comparison with an american bass vfl 8, the vfl 8 was absolute garbage comparted to the rl-i8.
