Well i just got my Klipsch 2.1 setup for my laptop a few days ago, but its pretty **** weak and i know its gonna blow soon.. Any rec's on 6.5's that put out descent bass .. or laptop setups that have a good amount of low end? I bought the 2 yr ext warranty that does included blowing the sh!t outta the speakers.. Only bad thing is its either a replacement or in store credit ( Best buy ) .. So ... bottom line im looking for a good PC ( laptop ) speaker setup with alot of low end.. any suggestions?

in my experience speaker setups "made for comps" are generally crap. shop around and pick up some home audio speakers and a reciever, and then get an adaptor (headphone -> rca jack and call it a day. no need for upgrading, and you can tub the reciever into your tv, so you can multi purpose it for your tv/dvd speakers, also. just a thought

The Klipsch systems actually sound pretty nice... THX certified and all that. I have a 4.1 and 5.1 Klipsch system. The subwoofers are suprisingly decent looking. Opened up the sub box in the 5.1 a while back and was semi-surprised at how beefy the drivers looked. Been thinking about slapping some xxx 6.5's in it that I have laying around. Someone else in here did that exact swap a while back, might have been ngsm13.

i mounted my XXX 6.5 in mine inverted, but never hooked up up because the klipsch woof is 6ohms and the XXX is 2ohm, so dont know how it woulda worked, i didnt feel like blowing the amp to pieces, would be my luck:(

The sub for my 5.1 has dual woofs, you could series them together to help the impedance issue some.

I like the idea of running it through my home theater setup, but its not as practical.. If it does blow i do have a 2 yr warranty, and i just wanted this to get me buy for now.. I did like the klipsh 5.1 ( i think it was 5.1) But no need for that on a laptop //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif .. It is obviously much better than nothing at all ( laptop tweets //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif ) I like how they got all technical and called it there 6th order bandbass enclosure.. with a 120 watt long throw woofer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
