I'm starting to think 1-12 for my low end. I've been seeing some systems on you tube with 1 12 or 2 8's that sound great and get loud and very low.

The subs I've been running lack weight at the very bottom- even tuned low as shi_t.

How can you tell how loud and low a sub can get by watching youtube ??

Friend... a single 12 may do the job... but I'd be looking at low QTC 15s...

You're right but some videos have a mic that can really give you a clue on my home system. All videos aint created equal.

Those new obsidian audio subs look promising. Check out their forum on caco. According to Nick they are supposed to sound pretty similar to the mag v3, which is probably my all time favortie sub. The Obsidians are only like $150 shipped or something like that. I dont think you would be dissapointed with those
