currently looking into what would be the best 2000-3000 watt amp. just purchased a "15 Fi BTL a few weeks ago (waiting on its arrival) to replace the L7 and wanted to know what would be a good amp for this sub. Looking to spend 400-450 on amp (do not care if it's a refurb)

man this is alot of good amps out there in your price range. if u go up the 3000 rms range u should go with a battery if u dont have one and some 1/0 wire.
got the 1/0 wire the big three and 220amp alt but wondering which brand of a battery i should go with

kinetic or powermaster. u should upgrade your front battery if u have not. i know a few people go with a yellow top there not bad .I think with the money u have and the work u done to your truck just try to get your self a nice amp . i think a audioque 2200d would b bad *** along with your sub . it sucks cuz u have a nice alt and you have your wire. i say get your self some batteries and get another sub if u can. 4k at 1 ohm yea that would b bad ***

yeah, for some reason, the only thing i have been putting off is putting in those new batteries; think I know what my tax refund will be going towards

haha yeah that was my listing-worst idea ever. got an offer for a prefabbed box with 3 10s someone who just said they were interested and three people i drove out to see that didn't have money but just wanted to see the car but which sub the fi is going to be a dual 2 ohm coil but i took the option to make it universal so i could always go to a 1 if i wanted to

check out the Shuriken batteries by Tsunami, I have been using them in a few customer vehicles lately and they work great and the price is very fair also. I was told they come from the same place as the Kinetics but better pricing.

gonna have to check these out

I personaly like the powermasters better seems like they have a better transision response " the time it takes from when the batterys reserve power is called apon and how long it takes to release the power" the kenetic will be better for long bass hits that it will be drawn apon for prolong periods of time but the power master will be better for kick drum hits and draws that are quick and powerfull. This is what i have found in my personal use atleast.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bsflag.gif.21f42eccd34b7d1eb1608fb1b59b69c3.gif There is no way one AGM battery is better at a specific type of music than another AGM battery of comparable size. The music will sound exactly the same unless you're listening to a DMM.

OP: Battery brands to look at: Kinetik, Shuriken, Deka Intimidators, XS Power (Powermaster), Stinger. All of these batteries are popular on this website for good reason. Get the biggest one that will fit in the stock location under your hood. If you need additional batteries, try to stick with the same type, but brand won't matter too much as long as it's a quality brand. You can also look into batteries from UPS (uninterruptible power supplies), or any other AGM batteries. There are many to choose from.

It isn't about the music beig listened to it is about how the load os put on the battery in a way it os like compairing a deep cycle to a starting battery the kinetik has thicker plates than the powermasters resulting in a slower transision response belve me or not doesn't mater to me. Just saying the info I had found a while back when I was comparing difrent d31 AGM batterys that's the reason why people will find they can pull higher numbers in spl comps even though the batterys may have the same cca as another or same ah as another. All AGM batteries are not made the same that and ts been tested that kenetiks aren't made equal you can test 5 of the same type of batteries from them and get difrent cca and ah off almost all of them.
