best 12" sub to power with amp i own

1 sub per each sub,

500/1 jl amp I have 2 of those running 2 w6v2 10's

I want to get 12"s + the jl's can't handle the full potention of 1 of those amps a piece.

best sub for a jl 500/1

from your list Id go with the Brahma and Id hook up each amp to each VC, since its rated at 500 watts RMS in a 1.5-4 ohm load and since the Brahma is dual 2 ohm you can get roughly 1000 watts RMS to the Brahma sub which has an RMS of 1600 watts, but make sure that both amps are tuned the same.

You said the W6s couldn't handle the full potential of those amps. What did you base this on? Ratings or experience. Next question, what type/size enclosure do you have the W6s in? If you are having trouble with the subs bottoming in a largish enclosure, switching to a smaller enclosure will help. A ported enclosure can help the power handling a lot and give you the extra output you want but at the expense of a bit of SQ.

Unless you just feel like getting new subs (and there's nothing wrong with that) I would try to get the most out of the subs you have, especially when they are as pricey as the W6's.

just based on experience...I own the set up currently, I have hooked up bigger amps and its the exact same sound from each sub....i have hooked up smaller amps, 1 500/1 sounded exactly the same as when I hooked up 2.
