best 12" sub for a 1000 watt amp

I am looking to buy a new sub to pair with my 1000.1 KAR arc audio mono amp. I am leaning towards a kicker L7 but I would appriciate other input. I have a $500 budget. Thanks.

What are you looking towards? spl or sq. I have a Fi Q w/bp 12 in a 2.5 cube box tuned to 32, it sounds great and has **** good output for a single sq 12. $225 shpped conus,box and sub.

I think an SSA ICON would fit your needs well. as would an RE SX. An L7 would work fine too!

15" L7 is 1kWRMS rated, but I've driven a set with about 1200WRMS and it's been fine, extremely loud. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Not the best SQ though.

imo, a dd 2512 would be very good on 1k. i used a 2510 on 1k and it was very impressive, again just my opinion.

the 2512 from digital designs, SX 12 from RE, SSA Icon would probably be nice, and the L7 loves a thousand.
