best 100w speakers

They will still sound really nice. For $200 you're kind of limited. Save an extra $100 and get some Boston Pro60's or some Pioneer 720PRS. Everyone on this forum is likely going to recommend you to save up for some Rainbow SLC's. Those arent bad speakers but for the price you can do better.

Please answer the following:

What kind of sound/characteristics do you want?

What kind of music you listen to?

SQ?

SPL?

SQL?

Any brand preferences?

Have you gone out and auditioned any sets?

i heard those new type R's (components and coaxils) today, and they were pretty nice for alpines...the tweeter actually sounds nice. MUCH better then the old ones. I also liked the new infinity reference speakers, and those aren't too expensive.

I had the polk momo's (still do, just not the crossover, it was stolen) and they are nice speakers, get loud and don't distort but the tweeter is insanely harsh for silks and the mids weren't as clear as i would have hoped. Still good speakers for the money, but it's really up to your ears not mine.
