Best 10" subs???

then again i thought about this for a while, and i have come to this conclusion. sony decided to make crap and sell it more than its worth for 1 reason

new people to car audio think, wow sony makes speakers for my car they must be good because my sony tv, cd player, video game system, and pc are all very good so they have to be. they market of newbies who know no better then to buy there favorite brand.

so i guess sony is very smart, but big assholes.

Ok let me re-state this. What is your guys best opinion on a subwoofer brand in general??? IN GENERAL SQ, SPL, BOTH, Dual Voice Coil, Single Voice Coil, Big Box, Small, Ported, Sealed, Normal, WHATEVER!!!!! In general your OPNION ON YOUR BEST SUB!!! AHHH....THANKS!

like i said before depends on what you wanna do with it, your NEVER going to get one sub everyone agrees is the best. but for me i like the image dynamics 10" IDQ10 D2 V.2, but i doubt anyone else is going to agree. i like it for sq and spl balance and works great in small sealed boxes.......what are you putting it in and whats your sq -spl balance (40% sq - 60% spl), i know you guys think im an idiot for coming up with this dumb little thing but it works for me.

umm sony isnt junk they spend more in r and d then anyone and more in r and d than most companies even run in total budget, es was great stuff their high end is still amongst the greatest stuff made. proof in point the es 90 and z-50.... now their "stuff for the masses" is just that but i wouldnt call it junk when comparing it to "specialty" items

the xs-hs series of refference woofers were **** straight as well as the xm-2000r amp with a whole bunch of other stuff.

lol es dawg needs to go get a z-50 sony head set but thing is he couldnt afford it lol 8k factory direct i would even bet he couldnt tune it never the less turn it on and yes that is sony they spend more in r and d than eclipse spends as a whole company and btw only reason you think those eclipses are good is cause they cost$$$ but as a former salesman i know how high they are marked up not a very smart buy imo

what is wrong with the 10w7 except that it is extremely expensive....they sound good, hit hard, and handle tons of power. Unless you want a pure SQ or SPL sub, what more of a good combination for a SQL is out there???
