Best 10 or 12" sub?

I am lloking for some different subs for a better boom. I have a JL 500/1 for amplification. I currently have 2- ED 11KV2's in a ported 35 hrz enclosure.

Would one 12" be better then 2-10"'s?

Oh yhea, looking for a moderate priced sub! Not a $450 W7 or anything like that.

it all depends on what your looking for in the sub. if u just want mad bass....sq....be more specific because there is no one "best" sub and i dont care what anyone sais.

sorry guys, I guess I am looking for sound quality, but some decent loudness. I listen to everything, pink floyd, metallica, my wifes crap when see in the car etc.

JL 300/2 fronts CDT M6 / upstage kit with US-200

JL 500/1 to 2-ED 11 KV2's (want to changes the subs) Would a sealed enclosire work better for at this point with the music I listen to? Would it be more SQ?

In a comparison test...My DD 9510 sounded better and was over 3 db louder than a JL W7 13 ...my low notes were deeper with more impact as well....I was running 1500 watts he was running 1800 watts....mine was a trunk car...he was in a small SUV.....So I'd go DD and a single 10 if done right will be more than enough //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif But that is me....
