Sold Benefit auction for "Project Hannah"

Hey guys, I have run this by the MODS and they have agreed and said it is cool if we do this.

I am putting up my RE MX 15 dual 1 for auction. and if it goes for over my cost (don't ask I know what it is and I will share it with bones to verify), 22bones will include a kinetik 2000 (thanks bones)and dropped_mazda has donated a Kicker KQ5 EQ, and wu501, has donated a bunch of misc. install items

The way I would like to do this is to bid you simply reply to this thread and leave your highest bid. All the proceeds will go to GohillaAudio for his "Project Hannah" build.

The auction will run until midnight Sunday the 10th of August.

Please do not bid if you can't pay, payment will be made either directly to GohillaAudio or to my PP account. If you win and you don't pay, the holy wrath of the Car Audio Mods will rain down upon you.

Please reolize I am gaining nothing from this, I am donating my MX to help a fellow member through a rough time.

Do something for someone else and bid from your heart, not simply to get a good deal.

I can fully understand why Gohilla is doing this. He lost his child, we gave him the help and support he needed to get through the hard times and now he is focusing his energy in the direction that helped him...the car audio community. He will go to competitions, make friends with people and possibly keep from going into a depressive state with their help and a goal that he has set. I am going to send him some wire and a distro block today and I believe in good faith that he is honest and true to his word. If he is doing this for personal gain in a monetary sense, then it's not my job to deal with that, there are higher powers that pull that duty.

Out of respect for your decision I will not send it. I apologize that the same community that helped you through this is now going to leave a bitter taste in your mouth. The world is just not right these days...I am worried.

In my personal opinion, from what I gather of this thread, a guy lost a child and he and another few are raising money for him to build a stereo system.

Anyone else see something wrong with that? I mean seriously come on...

You just lost a child for goodness sake...you have better things to attend to than building a stereo system in her name. Set up a charity in her name for a good cause, not build a stereo.

Im against this "raffle" 100%. The admin also wasnt contacted I'd bet. Since you got another mods approval, even though the admin is the only one who can approve these things, Im not going to delete it. However, this had better not turn into a scam.

I am sorry that you feel that way and we don't see eye to eye. I understand where he is coming from, and if it helps him get through this, why not.

I guess to each his own. This is his way of dealing with it, who are we to judge him?

This is a auction, not a raffle.

I contacted a mod, and was not instructed to do anything further.

I don't see anything wrong with it obviously, I have put a $350 worth of sub on the auction block to support him. As for the trust fund, please reolize many are not up to speed on those lines and I really don't think $500 dollars wold even pay for the paperwork to form one.

And I assume you are not refering to me and this auction being a scam.

Get financially stable and do it yourself. If this is what means/meant so much to yourself and your daughter do it on your own.
As easy as you just made it sound you dont need loans.

in order to get any work done now im needing loans, otherwise im sitting here and cant keep my mind occupied and get depressed again, i missed 2 weeks of work when she passed, and then i got hit in the leg by a r/c truck i was trying to sell to a guy at work, it got badly infected and i missed another week.

thats my finacial standpoint. here in a about a month and a half, i will be caught back up and be back to having extra cash every week.

What does it matter? Honestly. How is this ANY different from someone saying "hey guys you feel like donating to the I need a new car fund?" Seriously how many times have we seen that. Guy wrecks his car and jokingly says anyone want to donate to my new car fund? Hell he's not even asking for donations, he's asking for loans. I firmly believe he intends to pay the people back and so therefore I don't see anything wrong with what he is doing.

Not to mention how do you know his financial status? Maybe he does need loans. Dying isn't free you know. Funerals, burial/cremation, services, wakes, viewings, and remembrance parties all cost money. I can see how he can't afford many of the things he wants to do right now and granted how depressed he seems to be because of his loss anyone lending him a hand is helping him relieve his depression and get himself back to normal.

How would you feel if your child suddenly died and you found yourself in financial problems? Can you even relate? What would you do?

This whole situation makes me angry. A community pulls together to do something good and the word scam has to be thrown out there. This is a sad day, a very sad day indeed.

A good friend of my family just lost his daughter. Want to know how? Ill tell you regardless...He left her in the car...90*+ heat.

No matter how bad you feel, I understand you lost someone you loved, we all have...but imagine being the one that killed her...dwell on that.

The person is not building a system in her honor. He has donated her collage fund he started and as much as $150,000 to charity. He knows its not going to help his grief, but its a start.

Let's not spend time telling people how to deal with their grief, let's support them in the way they choose to deal with it. My family all got together and went fishing after my Grandfather died. My family now also dontates to the American Cancer Society since cancer is what killed him.

Simply put, the simple fact that you felt it necessary to say that you have expressed your stance and DISGUST is sad. I rarely say much about threads like this, but in this case I can't hold back when morals are knocked to the ground and kicked.

This is my final post to this thread. I wish Gohilla well and I hope to see Kmanian do well in his efforts. Gohilla, if you change your mind on the wire and distro block, it will be sitting here in a box waiting to be mailed to you for free, by my choice to GIVE it to you.
