My life be like....
last night i was sitting listening to my system and all of a sudden the sub just got sucked in like a vacuum and the amp shut off. I have no idea what happened. today i pulled the amp out and all the fuses were blown. So i thought no big deal. Changed them out put the wires back in put the negative on the battery and bam they all blew again? I have good wire. good ground. And everything is hooked up correctly any ideas Its a memphis big belle by the way...

You have an internal short most likely, that is why your sub got "sucked" in. Your sub saw pure DC current. Don't know what to say to you other than that sucks, probably needs to be repaired.

open it up and take a gander
It has gay warranty things on it.

****ing shit. This is gay. Sparks flew though when i reattached the ground?

Then it must be a short, unless you attached the ground and power in reverse //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif That would ****....

I dont think so lol. WEll it worked for a couple days before so yeah.

Most likely some outputs blew, shorted internally, caused - DC current to go to the speaker, which sucked it in. This may have caused other output fets to blow and overloaded the power supply FETs and since the fuses might have been a little too big (this happens all the time) the power supply FETs blew. That is why you are getting sparks when you plug the power onto it, even without turning on the amp with the remote wire. Could be a blown capacitor on the power supply or output filter that caused it all to happen as well, did you hear a loud pop, like a small caliber pistol at any point in the last week or so of using the amp?

Let me know if you want to send it for repair. I am sure we can repair it.

http://www.db-r.com if you have anymore questions or PM me. Thanks for recommending me blackbonnie.

make sure the tinsel leads on the subs are not shorted. very common behavior for such a problem and usually last thing to get checked. check the full motion of the sub. it may touch only at peak...inspect the spiders as well.
